So, I was checking out the Muppet Central Forum www.muppetcentral.com/news/20...03.shtml
and I found a blurb on a movie in the works called MirrorMask that is written by Neil and directed by Dave McKean to be released this autumn. www.sonypictures.com/movies/mirrormask/

From Muppet Central forum:
MirrorMask centers on Helena, a 15 year old girl in a family of circus entertainers, who often wishes she could run off and join real life. After a fight with her parents about her future plans, her mother falls quite ill and Helena is convinced that it is all her fault. On the eve of her mother's major surgery, she dreams that she is in a strange world with two opposing queens, bizarre creatures, and masked inhabitants. All is not well in this new world - the white queen has fallen ill and can only be restored by the MirrorMask, and it's up to Helena to find it. But as her adventures continue, she begins to wonder whether she's in a dream, or something far more sinister.

So, anyone wanna go see it? :)

Checked out the link and must say it definetly sounds interesting. By the way I am new to this tribe and thought I would say hi. Been reading Gaiman since 1998. I haven't read everything yet but plan too. I like books and movies that are dark, surreal and twisted so Gaiman is among my top authors along with Poppy Z. Brite and William S. Burroughs. My favorite movie directors consist of Terry Gilliam, Danny Boyle and Tim Burton. So far my favorite book by Neil Gaiman is Neverwhere. Look forward to further chatting with fellow Gaiman fans.

I loved Neverwhere also. And Stardust was just beautiful. Unfortunately I missed seeing Neil at Comic-con down in San Diego because I arrived Friday night but Mirrormask should be great.

I did sit in on the Neil Gaiman panel. The clips I saw from MirrorMask are phenomenal. It's like Dave's artwork came to life and is moving around on the screen. Add to that Neil's story, I can't wait. It is scheduled for release first quarter next year... :)
