There is, apparently, an exquisite theater production of Stardust in Chicago at the Theater Building Chicago...

I am REALLY tempted to buy two tickets (both theater and airplane) for myself and my son and fly to Chicago for one of the performances the last week.
Has anyone seen it? Has anyone been to this theater? Is there a reasonable hotel nearby?
Any help or suggestions would be lovely.

Mon, June 13, 2005 - 7:05 PMOne of my chat buddies saw it last Friday, and she liked it (she's quite the fan-she's even named her cat Neil). T'was rather bare bones in it's costumes and backdrops and the first act was good, but the last act was a bit rushed.

Wed, June 15, 2005 - 7:59 PMAh... if only it would be a production in Atlanta. I doubt I'll have the opportunity to see it in Chicago but I'd definitely be there if it had performances in Atlanta. -

Tue, June 28, 2005 - 3:18 PMI went to Chicago a couple of weekends ago and saw it. It's not like it was a black box production, the backdrop forest was done in a nice woodcut type style, the costumes were appropriately period looking, and I think they did a pretty good job making the most of the limited set pieces. Granted, the fairy outfit and the fiber optic leash were a bit bland/jarring, but the unicorn, tree, and dwarf (?) costumes were imaginative enough to make up for it. If it were produced up here, I'd definitely see it again and drag my friends to it.
That, and Uncle Fun across the street, made it a great trip. -
